If you've made it this far, you probably know my name is Axel Goris. I'm a 27-year-old French software engineer/DevOps/team lead. I'm passionate about web development, design, and all things tech. I'm also a big fan of videogames, playing a wide variety of games (JRPG, FPS, MOBA, Action, Adventure, Puzzle, Survival...). Obviously, with such a background, I'm also a fan of fantasy, notably the books by Brandon Sanderson, Patrick Rothfuss, Joe Abercrombie... Oh and I love to travel and really spend a fair amount of time in different places, just to enjoy the vibes of different countries. And I'm a VR enthusiast, a self-taught game developer, pianist, certified karate teacher (black belt since 2014) and a lot of other things.
Born near Paris, moved to Niort, a pretty unknown city that people like to make fun of, despite being one of the coolest and chillest town to live in. I moved to Nantes, spent 4 years there, with breaks during Covid, going back to Niort. An internship in Laval, the French one, not the Canadian one, then direction Stockholm for two years. Then, I was in Australia, in Adelaide, for two years. Best decision, it was super chill, the city is great, the people are great, the weather is great, the food is great, the beer is great, everything is great. I really recommend it if you want to move abroad. Now I'm back in France, in Marseille, enjoying the sun while working remotely, for a while at least. But I'm secretly looking forward to my next adventure... Stay tuned!
